Easter is one of the few holidays that is actually observed on the day that the event we celebrate occurred.
Thanksgiving is on the 3rd Thursday of November.
Christmas is an arbitrary day in December.
Columbus Day is just observed on a convenient Monday.
President's Day is a combination of both Washington and Lincoln's birthdays.
But Easter is the Sunday following Passover.
Just like it was originally.
That goes to show how important it was then, and how important it still is.
He is risen.
He is risen indeed.
